What Does It Do And How Does It Do It So Quickly? The Tanita BC-1000 has ANT + Wireless technology that allows you to link data to other remote displays. This means you can link your data to a personal computer as well as the Garmin Digital Watch that comes packaged. Furthermore, the device not only shows you your weight, hydration levels, and body fat percentage, but also measures your muscle mass daily caloric intake, bone mass, metabolic age rating, visceral fat, and overall physique rating. It does this in a matter of seconds without any intrusive fat calipers or guesswork.

In a matter of seconds after you step onto the platform, the device will automatically transmit all nine readings to whichever remote display you have set it up with such as a Personal Computer or the bundled Garmin Fitness Watch.

This allows you to view your readings privately via the data being beamed to the Watch if you use the platform in public.

Another advantage is that once you get the hang of it, this device is really very easy to use and it can be easily integrated with any of the Garmin fitness watches. What I Didnt Love: It does, of course, come with a few drawbacks. Aside from the steep price, exporting of data using the software can be a little difficult for first-timers. Its nothing that you wont work out, but do expect to be referring to the instruction manual for at least your first couple of uses.

Also, the cutting edge features of the model may be overwhelming for the average person who may find its breadth and scope overkill. But frankly this is aimed at people who are serious about accurately monitoring their Bodyfat and Muscle density in order to achieve peak physical condition.

Summary: If you can stomach the hefty price tag, the Tanita BC-1000 is an extremely stylish, top of the range, cutting edge device for people who want to be guided by such pertinent data such as body fat percentage, visceral fat, and metabolic age rating among others, in their efforts to maintain overall health and fitness.
